What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a protocol optimized for the transmission of voice through the Internet or other packet switched networks. VoIP allows people to make telephone calls using a broadband internet connection instead of a regular analog phone line -- at a fraction of the cost.

How does TelePinas Manila work?

Our systems reprocess inbound calls from your local Manila number and relay them to a US/Canada line over the Internet using VoIP. The process is transparent and does not require you to enter any PINs or codes -- making your calls appear like a local call.

How does TelePinas Mobile work?

Our systems reprocess inbound calls from your sim card and relay them to a US/Canada line over the Internet using VoIP. The process is transparent and does not require you to enter any PINs or codes -- making your calls appear like a normal Cellular call.

What are the advantages of 2-way calling?

Unlike other phone services, TelePinas allows you and your loved ones in the Philippines to call each other. There's no need for them to wait for your call. You and your loved ones can stay connected at all times.

What are the advantages of getting a TelePinas local number Abroad and in the Philippines?

With TelePinas, you can make TWO-WAY UNLIMITED calls as if you were just dialling a local number. The procedure is so easy. It just takes 1 step to instantly get connected to your loved ones. And the same one step procedure is all it takes for your loved ones to be connected to you. With this set-up, you are able to maintain your relationships with your family and friends and not let them be burdened by calling you at a high cost. just give them your number, and they can call you for free.

If someone calls me on my TelePinas # from out of town, out of the country or through cellphone, what charges should they expect?

Remember this simple rule to help you and your loved ones: Since your TelePinas numbers are local numbers, parties calling you can expect charges in the same way that they will be charged when calling another local number or international number. Example for TelePinas Manila: When they are out of town and they call you in your landline in Manila, they will incur NDD charges. When they are outside the Philippines and call your local number in Manila, they will incur standard IDD rates. When they use a cellphone, they will be charged the same rate as if they were calling another landline.

Can I also use the text feature of my cellphone for TelePinas and enjoy unlimited texting?

TelePinas Unlimited Service is just for calls.

What kind of Cellular Plan do I need to get for TelePinas Mobile?

You will need a sim with an unlimited talk plan. A post paid plan is recommended to ensure better quality of service.

How do I avail of the TelePinas Manila, Mobile and Direct pack?

Just click on the "Sign Up" or "Subscribe" buttons. Then, you will have to register with us pertinent information to activate your access. As the products are in high demand, a window will pop up if there are no access slots available.

Can I change my nominated number?

Your nominated number can be changed for a one-time set-up fee of $10. Please allow 7 days for the changes to take effect.

How long will it take before I am activated?

TelePinas Manila – 14 days
TelePinas Mobile and Direct – 7 days
Free Trial- you will be notified as soon as a line is available

Can I use multiple numbers to call my TelePinas access numbers?

Yes, you may nominate more than one number to call your TelePinas access numbers. Every number will be charged an additional $10 per month.

What are my options for paying my TelePinas Manila/Mobile/Direct account?

You can pay for your TelePinas subscriptions via credit card through PayPal

How do I get my billing statement?

Your billing statement will be e-mailed to you every 1st of the month. We can also mail to you a paper copy of your bill with a $2 charge if you are within Canada.

How do I know my bill due date?

Your Statement Due date is reflected on your billing statement. The due date is the last day for payment.

How does TelePinas Online Payment Service work?

TelePinas Online Payment Service is a secure and practical way to manage your TelePinas account. When you register for this free service, you will receive an e-mail message each month notifying you that your billing is available. You will also be able to view it on-line at your convenience. Finally, you will be able to pay your bill by credit card easily, directly from the TelePinas website. You must register for this service from the home page at the My TelePinas Account Menu.

How secure is my billing and personal information?

Our online services are safe and secure. Transactions are handled with outmost confidentiality and accuracy. In viewing and paying your bills online, you'll need to enter your log-in ID and password.

My e-mail address has changed. What happens to my billing notification?

You must notify TelePinas of your new e-mail address in order to receive your next notification. Go to the My TelePinas Account Menu in the TelePinas website.

What if I don't finish my Tipid Plan and terminated service before the term ends?

No worries. We give refunds but they will be computed based on the regular rates (i.e. $65.95 for Manila, Mobile, and Direct) plus a termination fee of $15.

What is Prepaid Billing?

We are using a Prepaid Billing system. This means that we collect your payment prior to your usage.

Will my line be disconnected if I don't pay on time?

Yes, we disconnect unpaid subscriptions the day after due date.

If I am disconnected due to late payment, can I be reconnected immediately?

We charge a $10 fee for immediate reconnection (within 48 hours). With this, you will also be able to retain your access numbers. If not, you will have to wait 7 days and you will be given new access numbers.

Who are eligible to participate in the Bayanihan Program?

Only TelePinas Manila and Mobile subscribers are eligible to join.

What do I get when I successfully refer a friend?

You will receive a one-time reward of $10. This will be credited to your billing statement once your friend has been a subscriber for 3 months. Plus we will give your friends $5.95 upon sign-up.

What does my friend need to show you that I was the one who referred him?

When we send an invitation email to your friend, it will include an account number. Your friend must enter this account number on their application form as their "Bayanihan Referral Code" to avail of the discount and to credit the $10 reward to you.

Is there a limit to my referrals?

There are no limits to referrals. Refer all you can and accumulate your rewards! For every successful subscriber you refer, we will credit the same one-time reward of $10. So if for example you refer 6 friends in the same month and they all remain subscribers after 3 months, you will have a total of $60 credited to your account!

Can I use my rewards to pay for my monthly bill?

You can only use your TelePinas rewards to pay partially or in full you monthly TelePinas bills. Your rewards do not expire. If you accumulate rewards more than your bill, the balance will remain in your account.

How do I refer friends?

When you know of a friend who might need TelePinas services, submit their email addresses through the Bayanihan Referral form. Also tell them to visit the Telepinas website and get the free 1-day trial.

How does the free 1-day trial work?

You have to log on to our website to avail of the 1-day free trial. Click on the "Try Now" button under the "Free Trial" banner and complete all information. Since we are giving our service for free, we proritize referrals in the Bayanihan Promo. We will call you once your free service is activated.

Do I need a broadband connection like cable or Internet to use this service?

You don't need any Internet connection for our service.

Does the person I am calling need to be a subscriber too?

The person you are calling does not have to be a TelePinas subscriber.

Can I change the TelePinas # assigned to me?

A new TelePinas number can be requested but a personal number (ex 416-CALL-NOW1) cannot be done. Please send an email to [email protected] Please allow 30 days for the changes. We charge $10 for a change in number.

Why am I not receiving any incoming calls?

Your call divert might be activated.
You may be in a low or no coverage area.
Your call barring might be activated.
Your account may be overdue, you have not settled your bill and your TelePinas service has been deactivated.

Will my voicemail work?

Yes. Unanswered calls from your TelePinas number will be passed to your voicemail.

Why can't I connect to my TPA (TelePinas Number Abroad)?

If your TPA is constantly busy, please call 1-888-ROAM274. If your TPA rings and then you hear a busy tone, then it is a cellular network connection issue. If you receive network busy and out of coverage area messages, it is likewise a cellular network problem.

Can I expect the same level of service if my contact in the Philippines is using a postpaid or prepaid line?

No. A connection issue exists for pre paid lines. This issue is due to the Philippine cellular network and is beyond our control.

Why can't my contact in the Philippines connect to my TPP (TelePinas Philippines Number)?

When all you can hear is ringing, please send a text message to 0917-5381290. If you receive network busy and out of coverage area messages, it is a network connection issue.
